Learning Awards 2010 & Europeana. The deadline is 28 September 2010.

Hoy traemos a este espacio el Learning Awards 2010, organizado por European Schoolnet, que en que consiste? ..recordad que the deadline is 28 September 2010... (ya hablamos de Europeana en este blogcito el jueves 25 de diciembre de 2008 en Toros en europeana. pensez culture...pensar la cultura) ...pues Europeana en la educación consiste en la reutilización de nuestro patrimonio cultural digital en los Premios eLearning

Europeana y European Schoolnet están encantados de invitar a profesores para crear recursos de aprendizaje basados en patrimonio digital europeo, como parte de los Premios eLearning de este año (http://elearningawards.eun.org).

Europeana.eu es el museo, la librería y el archivo online de Europa. Reúne contenido digitalizado de las organizaciones patrimoniales culturales y científicas de Europa y facilita el acceso a dicho contenido a los ciudadanos europeos y del mundo en general. Todos los países de la Unión Europea han presentado, y siguen presentando, objetos y artículos digitales de museos, librerías, archivos y colecciones audiovisuales, la mayor parte de los cuales están disponibles de forma gratuita. Las materias cubiertas son arte y fotografía, música y compositores, biodiversidad, mapas y cartografía, época medieval y Renacimiento, filosofía y política, fútbol, paz, guerra y muchos más. Por ejemplo, una búsqueda sobre Mozart muestra fotografías suyas, de sus padres, de su hermana, de su mujer, de sus hijos, de los certificados de nacimiento y defunción de sus hijos, junto con vídeos y partituras musicales y material auditivo de músicos famosos tocando sus piezas como Daniel Barenboim dando un concierto improvisado en la caída del muro de Berlín.

Invitamos a los profesores a que utilicen en sus clases de forma creativa el contenido accesible a través de la página www.Europeana.eu. Podrían utilizar el material como esquema de una lección, desarrollo de una exposición virtual sobre un tema del programa escolar o integrarlo en la tecnología de enseñanza como la creación de un blog, el esquema de una lección online, Facebook o incluso una aplicación móvil.

El sitio tiene acceso multilingüe, por lo que puede trabajar en su propio idioma pero los recursos están en el idioma nativo. Puede registrarse y guardar sus búsquedas o copiarlas y pegarlas en su creación. Ofrecemos HTML para embeber artículos en un blog o Facebook. Lo que presente depende de usted. Las entradas se evaluarán en función de varios aspectos entre los que figuran: innovación, potencial de uso en trabajo de equipo y calidad didáctica (puede encontrar una lista completa en: http://elearningawards.eun.org/ww/en/pub/elearningawards/rules.htm)

ABOUT THE AWARDS

Since 2001, European Schoolnet has been running the eLearning Awards competition to acknowledge and highlight teachers’ and schools’ best practices in the pedagogical use of ICT.

Many teachers find innovative ways of teaching and learning based on new technologies, but often their work is not known outside a small circle. The eLearning Awards help teachers to have their creativity and technical skills recognised, and at the same time show to a wider audience how ICT helps improve their methodology, enriches their work in the classroom and positively impacts on children’s learning. The eLearning Awards gallery displays all entries grouped by country and makes inspiring work from Europe and beyond easily accessible for peer learning.

As in 2009, winning entries in the eLearning Awards will also be included in the Learning Resource Exchange library (http://lreforschools.eun.org), the largest learning resource repository in Europe with more than seventeen Ministries of Education participating.

The eLearning Awards competition has attracted thousands of entries from schools in over forty countries in Europe since its inception. All projects are evaluated by an international jury of educational experts. Winners receive a prize for their school (cash and/or ICT equipment) and an invitation to the prize-giving ceremony that this year will be held at EMINENT 2010 in Copenhagen.

Over the last nine years, the winners have been invited to prize-giving ceremonies taking place as part of the EMINENT conference in Lisbon, Stockholm, Geneva, Prague, Paris, Bruges, Brussels, Rome and Vilnius. The EMINENT conference is a major European event in education, which brings together ICT policy makers from Agencies and Ministries of Education, experts, researchers and leading eLearning suppliers from the commercial sector.

The eLearning Awards 2010 competition is organised by European Schoolnet (www.europeanschoolnet.org), a network of thirty-one Ministries of Education, with the support of major industry players in the area of new technologies for teaching and learning. A list of sponsors will be announced shortly.
