An example of *real* situated learning?
Watch the following video -if you want of course- (a project by HotLavaSoftware with the Kauffman Foundation):
- I think it’s a pretty good example of what real situated learning can be.
- Contextualizing learning due to the unique characteristic of mobile devices: precisely “mobility“.
- I wonder how we could apply something like this to foreign language learning (with second language learning it’d be easier, since learners are already embedded in the target culture/language. But what about those studying English or Spanish as a foreign language?). I’m sure there are ways and examples, any ideas?
- And let’s not forget that these devices have bluetooth (maybe for team competition?) and internet connection (not just the SMS possibility)
