New Synfig release!

Just a minutes ago we released the new Synfig 0.61.09!… It has been more than six months since the last release of this great animation software. Now, with plenty new features a new release is ready. This is our official announce:

We are proud to announce the latest version of Synfig: 0.61.09.

Synfig is a popular, multi-platform 2D animation software for your computer. Synfig is Free and Open Source Software and provides powerful tools to let your imagination fly. This new version has a lot of improvements. The most important features and changes are:

• Increased stability
• Brand new Link to BLine feature
• Several new tools (Text, Star and Width tool was enabled)
• Several tools allow creating different layer types
• Several new value conversion types
• A new and beautiful splash screen
• Several other new features and usability improvements…

In this opporunity the official splash screen was made by me and Carlos Lopez Gonzalez. We won the Splash Contest a few weeks ago. The characters in the image are from “Cut the Circle”, the short movie that Cintia and me created for the SELF Project Video Contest…and we also won that!…Steel waiting for the official announce and… for the prize.
