OpenSSH 5.4 and netcat mode
The release of OpenSSH 5.4 was announced today. Its announced features include many small improvements, in usability and in crypto strength.
One of my favorite tricks using ssh is what Ganneff named ssh jumphosts – Many (most?) of my machines are not directly accessible from across the firewall, so the ability to specify in the configuration files where to jump through is most welcome. Well, with this "netcat mode" it will be much clearer to read and less of a hack… Of course, it loses a bit of the hackish æsthetic value, but becomes easier!
(yes, this post is basically a marker so I remember about it — But others might find it interesting)

Pues sí se ve la onda de borrador aquí en el post, pero me interesa mucho porque justo investigando este tipo de ondas es parte de mi chamba en el hacktivismo en estos días, aunque estoy apenas entendiendo un poco la onda del OpenVPN porque en riseup.net quieren empezar a darle soporte a toda la banda para evitar la censura y todas esas ondas que no necesito platicarte.
El cotorreo está en que no sólo quieren dar soporte a los geeks linuxeros que con suficiente paciencia podrían hacer túneles SSH de perdiz. Si no que también hasta a la banda Windowsera, si es posible con PPTP para que no tengan que instalar ningún software por problemas legales en países donde es ilegal instalar software que impida el monitoreo gubernamental.
¿Te interesaría contribuir? ¿Seguramente nos podrías dar un par de ideas al menos que nos permitan ubicar mejor el problema?
