APRENDIENDO EN CUALQUIER LUGAR: EL PODCAST EDUCATIVO

Un podcast es un archivo digital de audio, aunque también puede ser de video (vodcast) que puede ser distribuido por Internet y que está vinculado a sistemas de sindicación RSS que permiten su revisión automática y periódica. El contenido del podcast es variado, pero normalmente incluye conversaciones entre distintas personas y música. Existen podcast sobre multitud de temas aunque su uso en contextos de enseñanza aún no están muy extendido, a pesar del desarrollo reciente de algunos proyectos acerca de cómo implementar el uso de esta herramienta con fines educativos. Estas experiencias en contextos de enseñanza ponen de manifiesto que los podcast han aportado flexibilidad al permitir el acceso a la información sonora desde cualquier dispositivo, fijo y móvil, pero desde el punto de vista pedagógico, los podcast han revolucionado el panorama educativo al promover la edición libre y horizontal de la información.
En este artículo analizamos el podcast desde una perspectiva pedagógica y reflexionamos las posibilidades educativas que el podcast ofrece para la creación de proyectos educativos. Asimismo, enfatizaremos la posibilidad de difundir contenidos de manera periódica y de forma sencilla, tanto por parte del docente como del alumno, para organizar redes virtuales de intercambio de información que promuevan la mejora del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Por último, analizaremos las condiciones para el diseño pedagógico de archivos de audio y definimos algunas de las actividades que se pueden realizar utilizando podcast.

Podcast is a digital audio or video file linked web feed format (RSS) that enable to syndicate and review content automatically and which can be distributed on Internet. The podcast content is varied although genenerally includes conversations among different people and even music. There are podcasts about lot of topics but their use in Education is not extended yet even though the recent development of some projects about how to implement the use of this tool with educative purposes. In teaching, the podcasts have contributed flexibility because now it is possible to access to some audible information from any fixed or mobile device. Also the podcast have revolutionized the educative landscape because those promote the free and horizontal edition of information.
In this paper, we analyze the podcast from a pedagogical perspective and reflect about the possibilities of the podcast for the planning of educative projects. Likewise, we emphasize about the possibility that students and teachers have of disseminating contents automatically and easily, of organizing virtual networks to exchange information which promote the improvement of the teaching and learning process. Finally, we analyze the conditions to design audible information from pedagogical perspective and we define some activities which teachers can design using podcast.
