Call for a Twitter Tandem (Tandem language learning)
If you’re a teacher and want to use Twitter with your learners, here you have some good ideas and applications.
Some colleagues of mine (Twitter friends) have already implemented Twitter as part of their teaching, or rather, as part of their learners’ learning process.
So I was wondering if I should give it a try and make a call here for a TWITTER LANGUAGE TANDEM:
- I’m just teaching a course right now, a First Certificate Course at Centro de Lenguas (UPV): The students need to practice their English a lot, but they hardly devote time to their FCE practice so I don’t know if they will have time for Twitter. But it’d be interesting if their tandem partner is also a group (from abroad) working towards FCE. Or maybe English-speaking students who are working towards DELE and might be interested in tandem practice with Spaniards (and vice versa). Either one, they must have a B2 level, a B2 in English or in Spanish.
- And I’ll definitely make a second Twitter Tandem call for my course “Advanced English for Engineers” next term (Sept 09).
But meanwhile, any teacher out there interested in implementing a “twitter language tandem” (setting objetives, rules) with any of my groups? Or do you know someone who might be interested? If so, please send me an email @ elenabrz[at]efl20.com | fill out the contact form | leave a comment below or send me a DM to @elenaBRZ (my Twitter username).
